Hi I’m Maribel Me’lanson I’m a patternmaker, technical designer, and product development specialist with over 15 years of experience in the Chicago fashion industry. I was born and raised in Humbolt Park Chicago, so no shock that I set up shop on the west side of Chicago. This is where Me'Lanson Patterns would be born. We service the ChicagoLand area, Midwest area, and all over the United States remotely. I have a BFA in Fashion Design and have combined 20 years of experience with my team and network. With our extensive list of resources we will help you open the doors to grow your business. We’ll also share the INs and OUTs of the Fashion Industry. I am detail oriented, result driven, and thrive in the product development cycle. The technical side of the business is my jam...and our master strategy is a work of art, creating and seeing products come to life fulfills my soul and purpose.

My expertise lies in digital patternmaking, grading, sample making and small batch manufacturing, with a passion for pushing boundaries and creating innovative solutions. I thrive on precision and quick turnaround times, and I’ve had the honor of being one of the four winners in the Refashioning History event in Evanston. Summer 2024’.

Beyond my own work, I love mentoring emerging designers and offering one-on-one classes in patternmaking and technical skills. My philosophy? Learn the rules, so you can break them—because real creativity lies in daring to do things differently.

I love supporting the fashion industry community along with being a member of Apparel Industry Board , where I continuously connect with like-minded professionals, stay updated on industry trends, and contribute to the growth of innovative and sustainable fashion.

We offer a complete range of sewn product services, including digitizing, pattern making, pattern grading, marker making, and more. We provide step-by-step product management throughout the product’s life cycle, ensuring you are manufacture-ready.

We work with local high-profile designers, including: Almvghty Clothing, Wunmi Odunuyi, Shavonne Dorsey, Fashionable Addiction, Lindsey Berns (childrenswear), Goli June (Bridal Designer), Jamie Jynx Boutique, Silva Espadas, and many others.

We also partner with local contractors, sales representatives, photographers, models, and other fashion professionals, embracing a comprehensive approach to create sustainable products for our clients.
